Delivery will start in 2016 and the project is due to be completed by January 2019. The system will be configured to accommodate the future rollout of ETCS Level 1 on this route.

Electromechanical interlockings will be replaced with Alstom Smartlock electronic interlockings and the line will also be equipped with automatic level crossings. Alstom will also supply trackside equipment, power supplies, and telecommunications for the project, which is being financed by the World Bank as part of ENR's broader signalling modernisation programme.
