The batch of 60 type C70 bogie open wagons was supplied by CRRC Qiqihar Rolling Stock, China.
CRRC is supplying 330 wagons for the 472km Mombasa - Nairobi section of the SGR, which is due to open in the second half of this year.
The first batch of locomotives and passenger coaches arrived in January and dynamic testing is now underway.
