The Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) recently completed a feasibility study for this project, as well as the 55km Malolos - Clark line which will take four years to build.
Jica has also offered to build the first 100km phase of the Mindanao railway project which will connect the cities of Tagum, Davao and Digos City in the Davao del Sur province. The 200km network will eventually also have connections to Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Zmboanga, Butuan, Surigao and General Santos.
