Under the contract, a team of Alstom engineers and technicians will carry out daily quality checks and review the trains' security at Trensurb's depot. Maintenance will be performed according to a plan developed by Alstom which will define specific frequencies for each intervention such as replacement of oil and filters.
The four-car stainless steel Metropolis trains were built at Alstom's Lapa plant in São Paulo under a contract awarded in 2012. The maintenance contract will commence this month.
