The consortium comprising Sampol, Rubau, MM-Mex, and Grupo Electo Costa signed the contract in Mexico City on March 17 and now has 300 days to complete the project, which includes construction and commissioning of the main depot building, stabling sidings, and administrative buildings.

The depot will maintain a fleet of 30 five-car EMUs being supplied by CAF under a contract to equip the line which was awarded by SCT at the end of 2014. A full-size mock-up of the train (pictured) was unveiled earlier this month.
