PAULISTA Metropolitan Trains Company (CPTM) has completed a feasibility study into a 30km north-south light rail line linking Guarulhos northeast of São Paulo with the districts of Santo André, São Bernardo, and São Caetano.

The line will have 23 stations, including interchanges with CPTM suburban lines 10, 11, and 12, metro lines 2 and 3, and monorail line 15.

No timescales have been given for environmental studies, tendering, or construction, although CPTM expects the line to open in 2021.
