Alstom will maintain 63 EMUs under a nine-year contract for SJ's Gothenburg Västtrafik commuter and regional trains, 22 of which are X61 Coardia Nordic vehicles manufactured by Alstom, along with X50 trains manufactured by Bombardier. Maintenance will be conducted at two SJ depots in Gothenburg and is due to commence this month.

For Arriva, Alstom will maintain the 19 EMUs in its Östgöta Trafik fleet, which includes 13 Coradia Nordics that operate on the Norrköping – Mjölby, and Motala – Tranås lines. Maintenance will be carried out at a depot in Boxholm and the contract is due to commence in June 2015.

Following the award of these contracts, Alstom will maintain 219 trains in Sweden.
