Bombardier wins Montreal commuter rail contract

BOMBARDIER announced on November 22 that it has been awarded an eight-year contract by Montreal’s Metropolitan Transport Agency (AMT) for to operate its six-line commuter rail network and maintain its fleet of locomotives and rolling stock.

The contract began on November 18 and is valued at $C 331m ($US 246m). The agreement includes an option for a two-year extension.

Bombardier has been providing fleet maintenance for AMT since 2010, and this new contract covers the maintenance of AMT’s entire fleet of 264 coaches and 41 locomotives.
