Fertagus awards maintenance contract to Emef

LISBON commuter rail operator Fertagus has awarded a contract to Emef, Portugal, for part of the heavy maintenance of its fleet of 18 UQE3500-series trains starting at the Entroncamento workshop from September.

The two year contract is worth €1.24m, and involves the maintenance of around 880 components including main compressors, brake blocks and distributors, and bogies and batteries.
