INDRA, Spain, is to supply ticketing equipment and information technology to Argentinian State Railways (SOFSA) in a €35m deal.

The company will provide 1400 ticket barriers, 170 disabled entrances, 200 charging points for contactless cards, 150 on-board validators and 230 on-platform validators. 160 in-station transaction hubs and 300 journey inspection terminals will also be provided.

Analysis and control systems which integrate information from the ticketing systems will also be developed in a bid to improve data analysis and reduce ticketing fraud and fare evasion.
