IRJ at Trako 12th International Railway Fair, Gdansk, Poland: WARSAW Commuter Railway (WKD) has completed the rollout of a new passenger information system from IVU Traffic Technologies on its 33km line from Warsaw Śródmieście to Grodzisk.

The system comprises an IVU.fleet control centre, which continuously processes train location data and displays them in a graphical dispatch. IVU.realtime transmits train location data to over 100 platform displays as well as the internet using a unified realtime API.

The system features a Polish-launguage user interface with a bilingual text-to-speech application, enabling loudspeaker announcements to be made in both Polish and English.

The rollout of the system is part of a broader project to modernise the line, which includes the introduction of new trains from Newag.
