The "roll-in" ceremony was attended by Mr Juhan Parts, Estonia's minister of economic affairs and communications, Elektriraudtee chairman Mr Kaida Kauler, and Mr Peter Jenelten, executive vice-president of Stadler.
Stadler won a contract in August 2010 to supply 12 three-car and six two-car emus for around €80m and eight three-car and six four-car dmus for €96m. The European Union's cohesion fund is being used to finance the acquisition of the electric trains, while the diesel units are being funded through a capital lease.
The first of the electric trains will enter service on June 28, with the first dmus being put into operation in January 2014.
