Növog says it will deploy the locomotives and coaches on the standard gauge Krems - Emmersdorf and Retz – Drosendorf lines where it operates tourist trains from April to October. At present Növog uses Class 2043 locos which are not very reliable and consume too much fuel.
The request for panoramic coaches follows the success of similar vehicles on the narrow gauge Mariazeller Railway, which have been heavily used since they were introduced in June.
