Indra will implement its contactless ticketing systems, access control and mobile phone payment solutions for six metro lines and bus stops. The project includes pricing control technology, a control centre, and systems for 1000 buses.

Indra will provide onboard ticket sales and validation systems for the entire public bus network, and sale and access control systems for more than 80 stations spanning the 175km metro network.

Passengers will be able to access the entire public transport system using only one card, which they can validate quickly and easily by placing it near the reader. This solution will also include one-way tickets with a bar code and a mobile phone payment application that uses Near Field Communication (NFC).

The project is due to be completed in 54 months, and Indra will provide maintenance and technological assistance for 10 years.
