MTU Detroit Diesel Australia (MTU) has signed an agreement with CSR Ziyang, China, for exclusive sales and after-sales distributor rights in the Australia-Pacific rail market.
MTU has agreed to provide CSR with testing and commissioning services and required local engineering and product support.
The first 10 locomotives being built by CSR Ziyang for the Australian market are fitted with MTU engines and will be delivered to railfreight operator SCT Logistics soon.
