Trelleborg to acquire Schwab Vibration Control

TRELLEBORG, Sweden, announced the acquisition of Schwab Vibration Control, a manufacturer of vibration control components and system solutions, on August 10.

Schwab, Germany, develops and manufactures anti-vibration and suspension solutions for rail applications. The company also offers products for off-highway and industrial sectors.

The acquisition is part of Trelleborg’s wider strategy to extend its geographical reach across Europe, expanding its international distribution network.

The transaction is expected to be finalised during the final quarter of 2016, with completion subject to the approval by competition authorities.
