The contracts are for the 105km Sonnagar - Mughalsarai stretch of the eastern corridor, and 54 bridges on the Surat - Virar section of the western corridor.
The government is seeking external funding from bilateral and multilateral agencies for the projects which are being implemented by the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Railways.
