Eurorail and RDC are already working together through their 50:50 RégioRail joint venture, which was established in 2012 to provide last-mile railfreight services in partnership with local operators. RégioRail currently controls four feeder operations serving industrial sites in France.
"Europe is a challenging and fragmented market but with numerous niches representing opportunity for rail freight, says RDC chairman Mr Henry Posner III. "This investment represents an additional commitment to the European market based on our confidence in our partners."
