Usiminas Mechanica to build Brazilian wagon plant

USIMINAS Mechanica, Brazil, has agreed to build a second wagon manufacturing plant in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais as the company aims to tap into Brazil's expected need to buy 4500 wagons per year.

The factory will be built in Congonhas and will have capacity for 3000 wagons per year when it begins operations in the second quarter of 2012.
