The order, which comprises 38 vehicles for Antwerp and 10 for Ghent is the largest ever placed by De Lijn and includes options for an additional 40 vehicles. Bombardier will deliver 28 31.43m-long five-section and 10 42.66m-long seven-section vehicles to Antwerp and 10 42.66m-long vehicles to Ghent, where platforms will be extended to accommodate longer LRVs.

The Ghent vehicles will be used on Line 1, allowing Siemens/Bombardier HermeLijn low-floor LRVs to be transferred to other lines. In Antwerp trams of both types will operate on Lines 3 and 15. In addition to providing extra capacity in both cities, the delivery of new LRVs will allow older PCC vehicles to be withdrawn.
