The new 1.7km mostly elevated section runs from the interchange station of San Gottardo to the hospital with an intermediate stop at Dell'Argine. The €20m project is expected to result in an increase in passengers to 9000 per day.
The line's fleet consists of six Skoda 06T and three CAF Urbos LRVs. The contract with CAF includes an option for six additional vehicles.
