The extension will have three stations, including a park-and-ride facility at the RidgeGate Parkway terminus. Services will operate at five-minute intervals during peak periods and every six minutes at other times.
RTD says it expects to seek $US 92m in federal funding towards the $207m project, which is part of the authority's FasTracks expansion programme.
