The €170m order will be fully-funded by Ile-de-France Mobility, and is part a 2007 framework contract between the French regions and Alstom for up to 200 Citadis Dualis vehicles.
The order comprises 22 vehicles for tram-train Line T12 and 10 for Line T13.
The initial 20.4km phase of Line T12 is due to open in 2021 and will connect Massy Palaiseau on RER lines B and C with Épinay-sur-Orge on RER Line C and Évry-Courcouronnes on Line D, serving 16 stations in Essonne.
The 18.7km first phase of Line T13 from St Germain-en-Laye to St Cyr l'Ecole will serve 11 stations and is scheduled for completion in 2020.
