The LRVs will be delivered at a rate of 100 vehicles per year between 2017 and 2019 and the joint venture will maintain the fleet for 30 years.

The joint venture beat off competition from Stadler and UKVZ to clinch the contract with a bid of Roubles 95m per vehicle.

The vehicle will be based on PK Transport Systems’ Vityaz-M tram, and Muscovites will be invited to choose the final interior and exterior design of the LRVs, which will be equipped with CCTV, passenger Wi-Fi, and a modern passenger information system.
