A week-long public vote was launched on the DPO website on May 23 to select an exterior livery and name for the trams.

DPO awarded Stadler a Koruna 1.4bn ($US 59m) contract in January to supply 30 of the standard-gauge LRVs, with an option for 10 additional vehicles. The first vehicle will be delivered for testing in February 2018 and the fleet will enter passenger service from August 2018.

The two-section unidirectional trams will be 24.9m long and be able to carry up to 188 passengers, including 61 seated. The trams have wide doors and a wheelchair ramp for efficient boarding. They will be fully air-conditioned with a maximum speed of 80km/h.
