Ottawa seeks bidders for Trillium Line extension Alstom

THE City of Ottawa has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a contract to design, build, finance and maintain the southern extension of the diesel-operated Trillium Line.

The project will extend the line 8km south from its current terminus at Greenboro to Bowesville in Riverside South, with a 3km branch to Macdonald-Cartier International Airport. The extension will include seven new stations with 3500 park-and-ride spaces.

The extension is part of the Stage 2 expansion of the O-Train network, which will add 36km of new lines and 22 stations to the system by 2023.
