The €484m extension will take trams from the existing terminus at Noisy-le-Sec RER station to Romainville, Montreuil, and Rosny-sous-Bois before terminating at an interchange with RER Line A at Val-de-Fontenay.

Paris Transport Authority (RATP) will procure 15 additional low-floor LRVs to provide the additional capacity required for the 16-station extension, which is due to be completed in 2017.

The extension is expected to carry 50,300 passengers per day and services will operate at four-minute intervals during peak periods and every six minutes at other times.
