The initial 18km 29-station of the Purple line will run west from Savidor, the city’s main railway station, to Ben Yehuda Street, Allenby Street, Sheba Medical Centre and Bar Ilan University. In a second phase the line will be extended to 28km with 44 stations.
The 39km north-south Green Line will connect Hertzliya with central Tel Aviv, Holon, and Rishon-Le-Zion.
The projects will be managed by Israeli companies with the support of international consultants.
For planning services, NTA intends to select seven designers, one for each construction section of the Green Line (five sections) and the Purple Line (two sections.
The three-year contracts include an option for a three-year extension.
The deadline for submission of proposals is July 17.
