Services on Line 2 share existing Line 1 infrastructure from Palais de Justice in the south of the city to Ancely, offering a 32-minute journey to the airport at 15-minute intervals.

The €74m extension includes new stations at Nadot, Daurat and Airport, and is expected to carry an extra 9500 passengers per day. In addition to airport users, the line will serve employees and visitors to the Blagnac Aerospace Park, which is home to 250 companies, including Airbus, and employs 15,000 people.

Toulouse has added four LRVs to its existing fleet of 24 Alstom Citadis 302 vehicles for the new service. The LRVs are 32m long and accommodate 208 passengers.

Toulouse's public transport operator Tisseo says it does not plan to discontinue its existing airport shuttle bus service at this stage but will wait to assess the impact of the tram on its performance.
