The 43m-long seven-section vehicles will be 2.4m wide, accommodating up to 93 seated and 186 standing passengers (4 passengers/m2). Deliveries will take place between 2018 and 2023.
The SFr 358m ($US 363m) order includes spare parts, specialist tools, and staff training. According to Zürich City Council, the price per vehicle is SFr 4.3m.
