CRRC is also set to deliver four more freight locomotives and two passenger locomotives next month.
The locomotives will operate on the 609km Mombasa - Nairobi line which is expected to be completed later this year.
The contract was signed in May 2016 and comprises 43 DF8B freight locomotives, five DF11 passenger locomotives, and eight DF7G shunters.
The new line aims to connect Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and South Sudan.
