The 90km/h 1.55MW single-cab diesel-electric units will be equipped with Caterpillar engines and will be compliant with European Stage 3b emissions standards. All three locomotives are due to be delivered next autumn.
Fennia Rail is owned by a consortium of Finnish companies and private investors. The company rebranded from Proxion Train last month.
