The 3.28MW units are being assembled in Brazil at EMD's new Sete Lagoas plant in the state of Minas Gerais. The facility is also assembling 21 SD70ACe locomotives for Eldorado Paper and Pulp, which will be delivered by February 2013.
Production at Sete Lagoas is being supported by Progress Rail units in São Paulo state. The traction motors are being produced in Diadema, while bogies are being assembled in Hortolandia.
