First Vectron locomotives delivered to TX Logistik

SIEMENS has delivered the first two of 10 new Vectron multi-system locomotives to Alpha Trains which are being leased to TX Logistik, Germany, to transport freight between Germany, Austria and Italy.

The locomotives can run up to 160km/h and have an output of 6.4MW. The locomotives are equipped with country-specific train control systems, as well as ETCS in order to aid cross-border operation.

Eight further Vectrons will be delivered to Alpha Trains throughout 2017, all of which will be leased to TX Logistik.
