The order for Mercitalia Rail will comprise 30 5.2MW 3kV dc locomotives, with an option for 30 additional units. TX Logistik requires a minimum of 40 5.6MW multisystem (15kV/25kV ac and 1.5kV/3kV dc) with an option for a further 25 units.
Deliveries of locomotives for both operator will begin in the third quarter of 2018 and continue at a minimum rate of two units per month. The locomotives must be fully homologated at the date of first delivery.
The supplier will maintain both fleets for around 15 years and will have full Entity in Charge of Maintainance (ECM) responsibility.
