The four-axle units will be delivered in 2017 and Lotos Kolej will lease the fleet from Newag for a minimum of seven years. The deal also includes an option for additional locomotives.
The 3kV dc Griffin E4DCU-DP has a nominal output of 5.6MW in electric mode and is equipped with a 350kW Dual Power module for operation on non-electrified sidings.The 74-tonne locomotives have a tractive effort of 310kN in electric mode.
