Eight of the MS locomotives are intended for operation in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium, while five will operate in Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The five Traxx ac Last Mile locomotives will be used in Sweden and Norway, where Bombardier says the locomotive's ability to operate for up to eight hours on non-electrified track sections eliminates the need for supporting diesel shunting locomotives. Delivery of the first Last Mile unit is scheduled for the third quarter of 2016.

The order takes Railpool's locomotive fleet to 183 units, 169 of which are Traxx locomotives.
