Vossloh and the German subsidiary of French property developer Stargime are investing €41m in the 18,000m2 plant, which is due to be commissioned in the middle of next year, taking over production from the former MaK plant in nearby Kiel.

"By moving into an ultra-modern production facility and entering into a long-term lease, we are establishing a secure development perspective for the years ahead," says Vossloh Locomotives Mr Thomas Schwichtenberg. "This enables us to safeguard jobs in the long-term and continue to be a reliable and efficient partner for our customers."
