The 15kV ac locomotives will be assembled at Bombardier’s plant in Kassel, Germany and are due to be delivered next year.
The contract includes an option for three additional locomotives.
Wiener Lokalbahnen orders Traxx locomotives
AUSTRIAN open-access rail freight operator Wiener Lokalbahnen Cargo has awarded Bombardier a contract to supply three Traxx AC3 electric locomotives with last mile diesel engines for shunting on non-electrified sidings.
