ITALIAN open-access operator Arenaways is to launch two overnight services between northern and southern Italy on July 10 using Talgo coaches. Tickets for the new services go on sale on July 2 and can be purchased online or at stations.

Both services will operate on three nights per week. One train will link Turin Porta Nuova, Genoa and Pisa with Reggio Calabria, while the other will connect Turin with Foggia and Bari.

Arenaways will offer a high standard of service on board. Dream class will be equipped with single and two-berth cabins with en-suite toilet and shower and will accommodate up 92 passengers. Relax class will have reclining seats for 140 travellers. There will also be facilities for disabled passengers and a restaurant and bar car.

Car carrying wagons will be attached to each train to provide a motorail service. Passengers travelling with their own car can book tickets at Trenitalia ticket offices or travel agencies. Cars will be loaded or unload at Alessandria south of Turin, Villa San Giovanni near Reggio Calabria, and Bari.
