NETINERA subsidiary Metronom has been awarded a 15-year concession to continue operating three regional express lines in northern Germany by Lower Saxony’s regional public transport authority LNVG and the cities of Hamburg and Bremen.

The three lines comprise RE 2 Göttingen - Hannover - Uelzen, RE 3 Hamburg - Lüneburg - Uelzen, and RE 4 Hamburg - Bremen.

Metronom says it will announce details of its plans to improve the timetable and services to passengers when it has completed preparations for the new concession which starts in December 2018.
