The 448km journey will take 5 hours, compared with a fastest journey time of 8h 9min prior to the introduction of the new service. The service will depart Krivoy Rog at 08.01 and arrive in the capital at 13.00, with the return trip departing Kiev ant 17.30 and arriving at Krivoy Rog at 22.31.
UZ will operate the service using a 200km/h EKr1 Tarpan EMU supplied by Kryukow Wagon Plant.
Krivoy Rog has an industrialised economy and is home to ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine's largest steel producer, while the city's population has a disposable income well above the national average.
