Trains are currently running every two hours and the trip takes 55 minutes. However, the frequency will be doubled on September 1 to coincide with the opening a new international terminal at the airport and the journey time will be cut to 48 minutes.
The service is operated by class ED9M emus produced by Demikhovsky Engineering Plant. Each train has 475 seats, climate control, CCTV, and public address. Security guards are provided on board all trains.
A six-car train comprises one business-class car, two standard cars, and three suburban coaches. Fares range from Roubles 350 ($US 10.93) in business class to just Roubles 20 in suburban class.
