Operation will begin by the end of 2021, and Alstom’s share of its first integrated metro system contract in Vietnam is worth around €190m.

Hanoi Line 3 will be 12.5km-long and will comprise 12 stations and a depot at Nhon for maintenance. Line 3 is the second metro line under construction in the city, and it is expected to carry 8600 people per hour per direction.

Alstom will supply 10 Metropolis trains and its Urbalis 400 CBTC solution. The operational control centre and telecommunications will be delivered by Thales.
