As lead contractor, Serco will provide technical support for passenger operations, while Freightliner will support freight operations and Network Rail Consulting will provide infrastructure management services. The consortium will be responsible for developing and implementing operational procedures and systems, provide management and technical assistance, and deliver staff training.
The deal is Serco's first major contract in Saudi Arabia.
