Bombardier is supplying 47 of the two-car trains for the 40.7km east-west line, which is due to open in 2019. The trains are being assembled at Bombardier’s plant in Sahagún, Mexico.
Bombardier is a member of the Arriyadh New Mobility Group consortium led by Ansaldo STS, which was awarded a $US 5.2bn contract to build and equip the Orange Line in 2014.
