Tel Aviv NTA seeks Red Line operator

TEL AVIV Metropolitan Mass Transit System (NTA), the public company responsible for developing the city's light rail network, published a tender on May 15 for the operation and maintenance of the Red Line.

The 24km line will link Tel Aviv's mainline station in Petah Tikva with Bnei Brak, Jaffa, and Bat Yam with 34 stations, 10 of them underground. Commissioning is scheduled for 2021.

The operations and maintenance contract will run for 10 years from the launch of passenger services, with an option for a six-year extension.
