The first 19 vehicles worth Euros 50 million will be operated on the T7 line from Villejuif to Athis-Mons which is scheduled to open in 2014. The remaining 20 LRVS are destined for line T8 which will connect Saint-Denis with Epinay and Villetaneuse and is due to open in 2013. The contract also includes an option for the supply of an additional 31 vehicles.
Each LRV for T7 and T8 lines is 32m long, 2.4m wide and can accommodate over 200 passengers. The LRVsfeature platform-height doors, air conditioning and video-surveillance and passenger counting systems.
This latest order takes the number of Citadis vehicles sold worldwide to over 1500.
