HAVAG, the public transport operator in the German city of Halle, has opted to expand its fleet of Bombardier Flexity Classic LRVs with an order for a further 12 vehicles.

Since 2006 Bombardier has already delivered 30 of the bidirectional low-floor LRVs, which are 21.9m long and accommodate up to 121 passengers.

Havag operates an 86km metre-gauge tram network with 15 routes, which carry a total of around 55.4 million passengers per year.
