NExT trains are air-conditioned, have large windows, and seat 154 passengers with standing room for another 289. They are equipped with CCTV and emergency call buttons, and have a maximum speed of 120km/h.
Swiss operator orders more Stadler emus
BERN-Solothurn Regional Traffic (RBS), Switzerland, has exercised an option for eight NExT emus worth SFr 64 million ($US 66.4 million) with Stadler. The additional trains will allow RBS to increase capacity on the Bern - Soloturn route from 2013. The first six NExT low-floor emus entered service with RBS in 2009.
